In this list, I will share the anime that had an impact that was more about sadness, due to the story or the conclusion of the anime. These anime all made me cry at some point for a reason.

I think this anime is the saddest and most sensitive on this list. It keeps us in suspense as we try to understand and know what is really going to happen. Will such succeed in changing the future? would that be a good ending?

The story focuses on an inseparable group of friends who spend all their time together until a terrible tragedy happens. And it is this same drama that, years later, will lead them to find each other again.

This anime makes a representation of deep subject such as mourning and its stages. The script is well written and the characters charismatic. The story is deep and very touching, all that mixed up with suspense.

It has been 500 years since mankind disappeared due to the fearsome beasts. There are only a few races left living on floating islands but are still threatened by these monsters. William Kumesh is the last surviving human and his destiny will take a radical turn when he makes new acquaintances.

I started SukaSuka without much expectations and I can tell you that I left a part of my heart there. It's a dramatic anime in every sense of the word, in story, romance, and characters.

Arima Kosei is what we call a piano genius or prodigy. He has been playing it since his childhood with his mother. But after her death, depression takes over and leads him to hate the piano. He now lives without seeing a precise goal in his life, in sadness, until he meets Miyazono Kaori, an excellent young extroverted violinist, who will give meaning to his life.

Many people will tell you that they cried a lot while watching this anime. Whether you are a fan of classical music or not, this anime will touch you deep in your heart.

Nino was a little girl who loved to sing from an early age. Indeed, she has an incredibly touching voice that makes you feel chills and manages to convey a lot of emotions. She used to sing with two childhood friends, who are going to move out and leave her alone. But they both promise to find her. Now in high school, she falls back on familiar faces, but completely different personalities.

This anime is really full of drama and feelings. Nino's raw voice shares so many emotions and distress.

One day, a black meteorite crashed into the Earth, which completely changed the world. Indeed, the meteorite gave birth to monsters named D2 which have a sensitivity to music. Music has since been banned so the world lives in sadness without it. But some people with power have the ability to defeat these monsters.

This anime is a complete original work. The music is amazing and we literally travel with the characters. I think it's an amazing anime, which I hadn't heard too much about at the time and which I enjoyed.

Tomoya Okazaki is a boy who doesn't really have any expectations or goals in his life, until  he meets the atypical Nagisa. He will get closer to her without any ulterior motives, but will make discoveries that are more than dramatic.

It's no surprise to find this anime in this list since it's one of the best known in this category.

• Violet evergarden

Themes: Slice of life, drama, war
Episodes: 13 (+ movies)

Violet is a young girl who has dedicated her life to combat. After long years of war, she returns, seriously injured, physically and mentally, having lost everything. She now has to start a life again, with her traumas and her memories of the person she loved.

This anime is incredibly beautiful in both the writing and the graphics. It is also a beautiful retrospective on the very core of humanity, understanding oneself and one's feelings.
