In this list, I will share anime that have drama as a major theme. I will mainly quote school and slice of life anime. What I mean by 'drama' may be an emotional family drama due to trauma or events but also dramas generated by third parties out of jealousy or otherwise.

This anime is just amazing. It is a re-adaptation of a classic shoujo which has already had an incomplete adaptation. This anime goes through different moods : light and funny phases, with clashes between the characters and other very very deep and serious talking about trauma, manipulation, psychological violence and others.- Peach girl

This anime has a lot of drama due to the respective past of the characters but also by the difficulty in their relationship, the kind of relationship where there are more problems than calm moments, which can be representative of young first romantic relationships.
